Why would Calgary care if Iginla stays west? They're a long way from competing and by the time they're serious contenders Iginla will be retired.

Pittsburgh's deal yesterday should give any reasonable hockey person a loud message - Iggy isn't coming to Pittsburgh. Shero heard the price and moved on. It's not hard to comprehend this. It would be very poor asset management of Shero going back and trading for a non-needed player like Iggy. Not a knock on him, but we don't have a problem scoring. We have one more deal to make and its not for a forward.

Ek, the Pens got Morrow and paid a pretty stiff price to get him. They are NOT going to be a player for Iginla as well unless the asking price comes WAY WAY down.

I keep hoping for an Iggy trade....I want to see him win a cup. I don't understand why he didn't put Montreal on his list (if the rumored teams are true). First place in the east currently. Stays in Canada. Of the rumored teams I would want to see him in Chicago most.

The more and more I imagine the possibility of a trade, I am still not sold on it happening. I think you don't hold out on options too much longer. If an Injury happens.....all possibilities are lost.

This kind of trade, if it happens, will have to happen quickly and everyone is very much keeping it under the radar at this point.

I tend to agree with that statement after the morrow trade... doesn;t mean it wont happen, but maybe it shouldn't
